Austria’s capital community volunteers deliver fact-based drug education with young people across the city
Vienna — 23 December 2025 — drug facts campaign Volunteers linked to Foundation for a Drug-Free World Austria have expanded outreach in Vienna, engaging youth, families and educators via street information stands and community events. Led locally by Gabriele Toker, the initiative uses “Truth About Drugs” materials to provide clear information on drug risks, with particular attention to cannabis, often cited as Europe’s most commonly used illicit drug. Details were published in a published overview.
According to organisers, the Vienna activities focus on early prevention, including at large public gatherings such as the Donauinselfest, while also connecting with educators interested in classroom-ready resources. Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Reliable, early information helps young people make free and responsible choices—strengthening public health and civic responsibility.”
